Optimise processes, relief employees
With ERP3 KNEHO-LACKE takes a further step towards Industry 4.0
Kneho Lacke ist still in upheaval After the foundation for digitalisation was created with the connection to the fiber optic network in 2019, the Horn-based business goes the next step towards Industry 4.0: By implementing the new ERP, all internal processes (tasks, resources, HR, operating resources, materials, and IT) are being planned, controlled and managed based on needs. The goal is making the operational added-value process more efficient.
The specialist for surface finish develops and produces lacquers, stains, resins and oils for the furniture industry, for doors, flooring, stairs, and also the graphic industry as well as the packaging industry. Glas coatings are part of our portfolio as well. Core areas are UV and LED lacquers with exceptional surface properties. “We want to double our capacities and reduce the physical strain on our production employees at the same time”, Tim Patrick Meier describes his plans. It’s of great importance to him, that the transition does not affect the known quality of KNEHO products. The new ERP software is already in use in production, all machines were fitted with a digital connection beforehand. The next step is transforming all internal processes to a paperless workflow. “We are currently in the implementation stage”, says the KNEHO CEO, who already sees the benefits: higher productivity, fast access to all data, home-office for employees, low capital commitment, short cycle times and all in all more attractive work places. While preparing for the project KNEHO was accompanied by the “Effizienz Agentur NRW”, who supported financing and realisation of resource efficiency measures and informed about these topics in events, courses and networks.
